Welcome to Cannon Beach Log

I invite you, as you read these entries, to imagine you have come at sunset to sit on a beach log and look out upon the wonder of “the wideness of the sea,”as John Keats writes in his poem, “On the Sea”: O ye! who have your eyeballs vexed and tired,
Feast them upon the wideness of the Sea. During the quarter of a century I’ve lived by the Pacific Ocean, I’ve often walked out to the beach and sat down on a beach log washed up with some previous high tide. At sunset, I’ve watched and waited for the sun to set and the clouds to pick up the last lights of the day, filling the skies with the glory of God. May your soul also be filled with God’s glory and wonder as we discover together more of the mysteries of life with God.
